Self Portrait Assignment

My Self Portrait project. 

This is my final project. Its in the process. the main idea of my project was to put all my likes and interests into a imagination bubble. 

I'm done the most important part, now I'm in the process of making the drawing of me, look like me. besides that, I'm stuck on what to do. 

I don't know what to make the background of the imagination bubble or the background behind the imagination bubble and me, I'm not sure if i should paint, use pencil crayon, or anything because the texture of the canvas would make it very hard for me. 

I need some feedback from someone!!! :) Feel free to shoot any ideas at me ! 

Imagining & Generating -AND- Planning & Focusing

Step 2: of creative process: Imagining & Generating:
Happy to announce that im all ready to start planning how I am going to do my project. I have finally chose the idea i want for the final task and there is a picture of it below. I want to do this idea because its easy, it looks cool, i really like the idea . there will be a picture of my face instead of a drawing of some random girl.




This is the idea im going for, its going to be a little different :)



In this picture, the 3 pieces of paper are the materials going to be used.
the big paper with "Sav" written on it was just some sketched ideas. the logos and pictures on the left hand paper are whats going to be on the final project.

Ceramic Tile Art

I choose to do a bear for my tile because it was easiest for the "woodland art" style. This was my second try. the first try was hard because i didnt carve the picture into the clay first i just drew it and then painted it. when we put it into the kilm the glaze spread and it looked stupid. The second time was better for the glaze. I should have put another coat of black on the bear and i messed up on the paw because there is only supposed to be 4 toes not 5. the next project i do should look very good.

What are your first thoughts about your project?

- things i like:
facebook, twitter, tumblr, instagram, the colours blue & purple, doing my makeup & hair, shopping/spending money, nice weather, favourite brands(dc, fox racing, tapout, ect), all kinds of LOUD music! (rap, hiphop, rock), spending time with friends, family, & boyfriend,
personality traits; im nice, outgoing, can be shy, jealous easy, moody at times, loves making everybody laugh and smile, emotional, fun to be around, crazy


Do you have any concerns?

- unsure how to start the actual project. i want it to include all of the above^ & maybe more
- should i paint it?
- should i do a bunch of different types of art for each thing i include on the final project?
- really dont know how i could get all of those things onto a piece of paper and make it look good

Are there any materials or techniques that might appeal to you?

- i want to do different types of art styles for every idea.
- i was thinking of spelling my name in a cool writing and then filling in the letters with the things i like. (pictures and writing)
- puzzle pieces; i was thinking i can put a thing i like on different puzzle pieces and then kinda put them together but some mixed up.

scratch art.

here's my scratch art assignment (practice) . I wasn't sure on what to do but I wanted to do a kitty cause it looked the easiest. I like this kind of art because it's fun and I like the outcome :)

Leggo cathederal !

first, we had to find pictures to build . we tried to give it the old look
but we couldn't find Lego pieces . we also wanted to give it the big stain glass windows look but we didn't find any pieces to do that either. it took us 3 1/2 days to complete this. our cathederal is probably the smallest out of our whole class . this assignment/project was super fun :)

This is the cathedral look I was aiming for, it doesn't look anything like it. I wanted to do this one because it looked easy.

MUsic & Art PRoject

here's my first picture for the art & music project. I didn't know what to draw because I have many choices of songs so I did all the ones I know mixed in one. I'm in the process of drawing a final project !

Sketching Eyes

the first eye I had to sketch was a little rough. I wasn't really adding any detail into. the second attempt of the first eye, i started to add detail like the pupil & the shaping.

the second eye was difficult because of the eyelashes. my first attempt didn't look anything close to the original picture. I didn't add any detail at all. my second attempt of the first eye, I added detail. I tried to make it match as much as I could.

like I said in my first post, I'm not very good at drawing. my pictures never turn out to look like the original pictures. can someone please give me some tips?? :)

Talking About Art :)

About Art

Im not the best at art and drawing, but my current goal is to be able to draw and enjoy art like I used to.

The definition of art could be many things. My definition of art is intellegence, beauty, imagination, being creative, simplicity and fun on paper. There are many better defintions but I like to go with mine.

I think my definition is legit because there isn't really a deffinition of art. Art is what you believe it is.

and I believe its all the things mentioned above.

Ive done a lot of things in art in my life. Ive learned about the most important techniques and materials.

Three of the things I haven't done yet are:

1. Clay Art

2. Pop art

3. Graffiti

I would be curious to try these because I think they are cool and they seem like they are easy to do.

Graffiti is art! and I could care less what anyone else thinks of it. If graffiti wasn't drawn on buildings im sure people would be famous for their art.

My abilities in art are that I have farely well hand-eye cordination. I can focus good on what I'm doing.

Since I can focus good, my art is more neater.

My strengths are that I can try my hardest even tho I'm not that well of an artist, I still make art look good :)

My interests in art are line art, colours, pop art, clay art, & many more.

the one thing I find difficult is to apply myself.

I'm the laziest person ever when it comes to classroom work.

If im in the mood to do well then I will. But I try my hardest.
